I had tried and tried to do this myself and failed - photoshop kept giving me a file one pixel off the correct size.

A great tool - I sent you a donation.

Pretty amazing little tool, and easy to use! Lovely, except that it didn't work. I used a favorite photo of my '64 Doge Dart Convertible, and it was distorted enough to be unsatisfactory. I went back into Paint Shop Pro and cropped the image differently, reloaded the photo into the generator and found the new image still a little distorted, but acceptable. Continuing to follow the instructions, I reconnected my ONE XL-S, but TomTom HOME started instead of the expected USB should detect, and you should select "open folder to view files using window explorer." So, I opened Windows Explorer manually found the file "splashw.bmp. It is the original splash screen that came on the unit.

I don't know whether I missed something, or if there is a compatibility issue. My computer is a Dell XPS running Windows XP Pro with SP2. I noticed your comment that "out of over 14910 people who so far have used this tool, a total of $4.99 has been donated thanks.." and paypalled ya a buck and a half via ebay@cheese.org before the second upload and subsequent failure to find the new file. I would greatly appreciate any help. And even more greatly appreciate being able to replace that generic splash screen with one featuring my ragtop.

Thanks
